Shakti Om
Shiva Om
as they re-unite like waves and shore
beautifully wrapped like a silk woven thread
entering my heart, my lungs, my soul
I bless Shakti for her wisdom flowering inside me
I thank Shiva for his stride escaping my vessel
I should write more
tell the tale of my journey
trust my instinctual words
the creation comforts my inner child
as I write the tale of my journey
Beauty is not the accentuated cheekbones, the inflated lips, the extra eyelashes.
Beauty is not found in lifeless eyes, under a cloud of judgements or inside a tube of the perfect shade of pink.
When you grabbed my hand, when I noticed your lips were slowly forming into a daring smile, and when I looked into your eyes, they were glowing with mystery.
I saw the wild, fearless, vulnerability in you.
I saw the raw you.
I saw the beauty.
The Earth is speaking to us, desperately asking us to change, change our ways before she breaks. She has formed our species along with other species of animals for us to harmoniously live together. At some point, we fucked up. We became greedy, we searched for more, we thought highly of ourselves, we started wars with each other on a global scale. Even though this Earth has provided everything we need to survive, we treat her with complete disrespect. Humans have forgotten where they come from, they have forgotten their roots.
